Kids' Small Groups.

Kids’ Small Groups is a mid week program for children in pre-kindergarten through 6th grade.  Our hope is that children in Kids' Small Groups can dig deeper into God's Word and learn about the limitless love that God has to offer them.  We also hope the relationships that the children build in their groups will last a lifetime and that they’ll look forward to spending time each week with kids their own age.

What To Expect

Kids Small Groups is the small group discipleship program for the children of Hope Church. There are two primary divisions: Pre-K to Grade 2 and Grades 3 to 6.

Pre-K to Grade 2

The curriculum for the Pre-K to Grade 2 students focuses on introducing students to a relationship with God and what it means to be a part of the church. The students learn about character traits as the Bible comes to life in their small group. They will build lasting relationships with their peers and leaders as they meet each week. Ultimately, their eyes will be opened to the amazing, limitless love that God has to offer them.
  • A small group study of the Bible with Old and New Testament stories, life application lessons, crafts and games each week.
  • A time of group worship through singing and scripture memorization.
  • A time for prayer requests and group prayer.
  • An opportunity for parents to share in their child’s spiritual growth at an early age through review of weekly lessons.

Grade 3 - 6

The curriculum for the Grades 3 to 6 students focuses on how to grow, serve, and share Jesus.  This is also an opportunity for students to develop deep, consistent relationships with other students and leaders.  All students, regardless of age or grade, will begin in Children's 101 as they recognize and reflect upon their relationship with Jesus. Children's 201 challenges students to dig deeper in their faith through spiritual disciplines. Next, students will assess their own SHAPE and how God can use them to serve in ministry in Children's 301. Finally, the curriculum will come full circle in Children's 401 as the students are challenged to share Jesus through their testimonies, mission fair and mission trips.
  • The areas covered are:
    • How to Know Jesus (Children’s 101)
    • How to Grow in Jesus (Children’s 201)
    • How to Serve Jesus (Children’s 301)
    • How to Share Jesus (Children’s 401)
  • An opportunity for students to develop deep, consistent relationships with other students and leaders.
  • A new student, regardless of grade or age, begins in Children’s 101 and will advance to the next book the following year.
  • A place for children to further develop their walk with Christ by serving in ministry and sharing Christ on the mission field.
