Contribution Processing Assistant

This position will be an essential part of the Finance department at Hope Church with the overall responsibility of maintaining accurate receipts from worship services, incoming mail and special events. This is a part-time, hourly (25 hours per week), non-exempt position. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Count and balance worship services
  • Process receipts to correct record and purpose
  • Create and balance electronic deposit file
  • Prepare cash deposit for bank
  • Reconcile any deposit discrepancies
  • Open, process and deposit mid week receipts from mail
  • Process online activity and reconcile to merchant activity
  • Maintain pledge card information
  • Assist with mailing of quarterly statements
  • Memorials
  • Interact with contributors regarding their records
  • Assist team members when needed

Other duties and resPonsibilities

  • Proficient in Excel, MS Outlook and Word with the ability to learn Shelby Systems (Financials and Arena) and other programs as necessary.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in financial office environment preferred.

  • High School Diploma

  • Ability to communicate well on the phone and email.
  • Strong organization and time management skills to ensure scheduled deadlines are met.
  • Attention to detail required.
