Back To School

Backpack Drive

Back to school time is here and you can help kids in need right here in Memphis! Simply choose one of the supply lists below and fill a backpack with the contents. Every little bit helps a child get a fresh and positive start to the new school year. Backpacks can be dropped off at Hope on the weekends before and after services or at the Church Office during business hours during the week. Please have all backpack donations dropped off at Hope no later than July 23. We appreciate all that you do to support our Urban Ministry outreach efforts. Your contribution to our Back to School Drive is just one more way you are helping to share Hope, Everywhere!

Making a Deeper Impact in North Memphis…

You have the opportunity to make a difference in our inner city youth by being a positive role model and by getting involved in one of the various opportunities provided through Oasis of Hope. Join our team and work alongside us in North Memphis for an hour a month or more. A little time investment from a caring adult makes more of an impact that you may ever realize.

Ways to serve with Oasis of Hope:

Children’s Opportunities
- In-School Tutoring/Homework Help – Spend time assisting students with their studies at various times and locations throughout the week

- Read2Succeed (R2S) – While reading is our main focus, we also share Bible stories and verses, go on field trips, and most importantly develop relationships between students and coaches. Read with our elementary students on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons from 4:30-6pm.

Youth Opportunities
- Teen Bible Studies - Get involved with our middle and high school youth weekly as we grow friendships, provide support and encouragement, and offer spiritual guidance through Bible studies tailored specifically for teens.
- Pathfinders (Middle School) meets on Tuesdays from 5:30-7pm
- Life Builders (High School) meets on Wednesdays from 5:30-7pm

- Warrior Princesses - Help us empower and teach middle school girls life skills such as cooking and self defense, spiritual development and Biblical principles, and how to live successfully in an urban environment. We meet on various Saturday mornings throughout the year.
