A Story of Hope from Jessica Morris

I feel like I’ve been at Hope Church my entire life! We started attending Hope Church shortly after moving to Memphis halfway through my 5th grade year. Instantly, my parents connected with the music, preaching and community at Hope. It wasn’t until I came to faith, five years later, that Hope became my home. I will never forget walking into the youth area (now room 230!), meeting Bret Spiegelman and then being introduced to some leaders and students...and then the rest is history. The youth ministry here completely changed my life and helped me to find and form my faith. I found people and a community here that ultimately changed the entire course of my life.

After graduating high school, my plan was to graduate from the University of Memphis with a business degree and pursue a career in sales. Little did I know, God would radically change those plans, call me to pursue a career in ministry, and then years later seminary and ultimately ordination. Hope Church has supported, encouraged, and ushered me through each of these pivotal stages. There is no doubt, I am eternally grateful!
