A Story of Hope from Kristin Funston

One Easter after moving to Memphis, I attended service at Hope. Because that's what people do, right? They go to church on Easter. I was a believer, but didn''t have any real connection to God. Until that one Easter service when Pastor Craig (literally) gave the entire congregation a key, and asked us to walk through the doors Christ was holding open for us. I stood up, walked through those doors and knew instantly God was calling me to come back to Him, and to His church. So I came back…again and again. And I KEEP coming back.

I joined the choir and eventually began volunteering in other areas, from women''s and moms ministry to eventually working in Marriage & Family ministry. Hope has shown me the power of "ME TOO" in this messy life of mine with this church family it's provided me, but even bigger and better than that, it has shown me the power of CHRIST on this side of Heaven. Hope is more than just a place of work and worship for me and my family. It''s home.
