A Story of Hope from Rickey Fondren

So I arrived here at Hope a little more than five years ago by way of employment...Many thanks and Glory be to God that I am still here...currently employed by Hope as the Database Manager. I often say that even if I wasn't employed here at Hope that I would still worship here, because Hope is HOME to me!!! Here are a few things that make Hope Home: During my time here, I have done just about everything and I have thoroughly enjoyed it ALL!!! I''ve gone on a Mission Trip to Africa with the Singles Ministry where I took part in a Pastors/Leadership Conference as one of the breakout session speakers. At the culmination of this conference, there was a Revival where I was BLESSED to lead and minister to well over 15,000 people in praise and worship! I currently lead the 3rd & 4th graders in worship during their time in Large Group and I am a part of the Worship Team for the Singles Community! In addition to this, I am blessed with the opportunity to sing in the Hope Choir and on the Frontline/Praise & Worship Team here at Hope. All with a perspective that says, "I GET TO SERVE" rather than "I GOT TO SERVE".

My son, Trey, also loves it here at Hope. He is currently enjoying being a part of Student Ministry as a 7th grader and has had the opportunity to go on several trips with them. He was recently blessed to sing a duet with Pastor Rufus and lead a song with the Children''s choir just this past Christmas season. One of the greatest highlights that I have experienced during my time here at Hope happened on 11/11/2016 at a Singles Ministry Game Night...for this was the night that I met my fiance, Reagan. I can honestly say that the three of us, Reagan, Trey and myself love worshiping and serving here at Hope and look forward to being an essential part of this ministry going forward!
