Alternative Gifts

Alternative Christmas Gifts from Hope Global Outreach provide a way for you to support the project of your choice in the name of a teacher, friend, bus driver, family member, business partner, etc. In return, you receive a Christmas card to send to them that explains your gratitude and what project you sponsored in their honor. This year we have three options available:

  • Chicks for Hope (Haiti) • The Chicken & Eggs project for strategic partner Place of Hope in Haiti is the fifth in a series of ongoing vocational development. This initiative is intended to be useful for training the students for profitable future businesses and also for providing eggs and meat to meet the nutritional needs of the kids and staff at the orphanage. A portion of the chickens and eggs will be sold in the local markets for profit.
  • Water for Hope (Uganda) • 80% of Kenyans and Ugandans live in a rural setting. In these areas women and children spend 3-4 hours a day carrying insufficient, contaminated water. Your gift will povide a lifetime of holistic support for our partners. Thank you for being a part of providing a sustainable resource for our friends in Kenya and Uganda!
  • Dishes for Hope (Kenya) • The Widow's Kitchen objectives include advancing the cause of women's empowerment by reducing the dependency rate and poverty of widows, while increasing literacy and opportunity in their families. Opportunity in other countries depends greatly on education, vocational training, self-employment and unemployment rate.

Each Alternative Gift option allows you to impact lives in a very significant way. These sustainable projects will provide ongoing benefits and support well beyond the Holidays for our trusted partners around the world.
