Housekeeping/Scrubs MaNAger

This position will be an essential part of the Facilities Department at Hope Church with the overall responsibility for the organization and scheduling of all Housekeeping employees and Scrubs volunteers to include recruiting, training, and motivating Scrubs Team members. This is an exempt, full time, salaried position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Must have the ability to walk the scope of the facility
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Must be available to work one day of the weekend and events (including some holidays) as needed
  • Must lead by example by performing Housekeeping/Scrubs duties with teams several hours each week
  • Responsible for recruiting, developing, and deploying Scrubs volunteers for daily housekeeping and events as needed
  • Provides training and instruction for all Scrubs members
  • Supervises Housekeeping staff

Other duties and resPonsibilities

  • Maintain Housekeeping staff’s hours based on regular work and scheduled events during the week, keeping their hours within what is budgeted
  • Prepare specific detailed work plans for Scrub teams
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility
  • Work closely with Housekeeping staff to insure an efficient interface between staff and volunteer operations
  • Direct Housekeeping staff to compensate for unmet Scrubs objectives
  • Monitor Scrub team attendance and manage volunteer activities and absences
  • Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • Some College preferred

  • Ability to influence and motivate others
