Housekeeping Team Member

This position will be an essential part of the Facilities department at Hope Presbyterian with the overall responsibility of daily cleaning of Hope’s campus as well as maintaining a high standard of excellence in the overall appearance of the facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Removes trash from inside and outside containers, transports to compactor, and safely compacts trash
  • Vacuums carpets and rugs throughout
  • Removes dust throughout the facility
  • Mops and disinfects classroom, and hall floors in the Children’s Building
  • Mops and disinfects all bathroom floors
  • Cleans various surfaces throughout the facility with appropriate cleaning chemicals
  • Cleans and disinfects bathroom sinks and toilets, stalls, and walls
  • Cleans glass windows, doors, and mirrors
  • Cleans handrails
  • Operates appropriate Housekeeping equipment
  • Restocks supplies in bathrooms and Scrubs closets
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • This position requires being on their feet constantly
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel
  • Operate mechanical equipment used for housekeeping
  • Must be available to work 4 days, during the afternoon, and evening.  Currently Tuesday, Thurs, Friday afternoon or Saturday morning and Sunday Morning.

Other duties and resPonsibilities

  • Scheduled personal time off not to occur during the week prior to and week of Easter, Christmas, Graduations, Vacation Bible School, and other major church events
  • Other Duties as assigned

Skills & Experience Requirements

  • Must be able to speak conversational English

  • Must be able to follow verbal instructions
  • Must be able to work extended hours when required
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must be MALE in order to service Men’s restrooms during events and weekend services

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma
