The Transformation   My favorite cook as a person and as a cook is Thomas Keller. His restaurants are The French Laundry in California and Per Se in New York. There is a book, "The Soul of a Chef" by Michael Ruhlman, that has several chapters at the end, Actually the last 1/3 of the book, about Keller and The French Laundry (it's a great book). Walking on Water: Grace I read a book once called "Walking on Water". It's about an elite Pediatric Surgical Unit. They mostly do heart surgery. The head surgeon is Roger Mee. These guys are doing heart surgery, bypasses, transplants, fixes on week old babies. So everything is smaller, and faster and more precise. He goes into a store to buy something and gets shot in the head by a guy robbing the place.
