A place for you

Our Campus

Hope is not just a place of great people, but it's also a great place!

God has blessed us with wonderful facilities that not only serve members and visitors but the city as a whole. Below is a handy map that shows where places are located throughout the campus.

Sanctuary

The main sanctuary is a big one, with 5000 seats. It finds use outside of weekend services with concerts, movie nights, and school graduations. The space is wheelchair accessible and includes cry rooms for families of newborns.

Technology abounds with full 1080i HD workflow from camera to two 20’ x 12’ LED IMAG screens, and a 25' x 15' on-stage center screen. It takes eight volunteers and three staff to run video and lighting on a given weekend. There are over 100 different systems talking to each other in real-time through hundreds of miles of cable for a weekend service to be accomplished. >> back to top

South Hall

Once the main sanctuary, South Hall now functions as a multipurpose space. It is home to smaller concert events, Singles ministry, Men's breakfast, and other meetings (including civic).

South Hall seats 550 people at tables or 1040 in chairs. The stage is 49 x 30 feet. Both visual and audio media are handled in fully equipped booths. Green rooms and direct access to The Grove Recording Studios are also available. >> back to top

Cry Rooms

Are you a new parent and anxious about leaving your new bundle in our nursery? We understand! The main sanctuary has three soundproof cry rooms (located along the back wall) where you may sit with your baby without disturbing the service if they decide to "preach." The same is true for events in the South Hall; a cry room is available just to the right of the main entrance doors. In an effort to provide a safe and welcoming environment, we ask for well babies only, please. >> back to top

Lobby

The hub of conversation is without a doubt the lobby area surrounding the sanctuary. This open space is where you will find your cup of joe, event and volunteering information, the Hope Shoppe, the Saying Grace Cafe, and plenty of room for catching up with friends.

The lobby holds 150 tables for meal times and is where you line up for your Wednesdays at Hope dinners. You'll also find plenty of booths in this area for Hope Market Square every fall. >> back to top

Parking

As you can tell from our campus map, 2100 parking places take up quite a bit of real estate. Our parking has three entrances from Walnut Grove and one from North Ericson. A small lot at the far north services the athletic fields. Handicapped spaces are available at all main entrances. We constantly thank our conehead volunteers for helping us navigate and keeping safety a top priority.

If getting your family to all walk in the same direction at the same time would be its own kind of miracle, four trams are constantly making stops in the north lots (giraffe, monkey, & flamingo) and dropping off at Entrance 5. >> back to top

Courtyards & Gardens

The moment you drive up to Hope, you will realize our commitment to natural spaces. The campus is landscaped in year-round beauty with trees, shrubs, blooming annuals and perennials, and natural stone. Make sure you take a moment to enjoy the flowing waterfalls, pond, and koi fish within the Norfleet Garden. Named in honor of Frank Norfleet, the garden is sometimes used for small weddings (no more than 20 people).

In the same way, enjoy the Moses Bubbling Rock Garden. Take a seat on the patio furniture and enjoy the relaxing trickle of water or the shade of the interior courtyard. This space can be used for small receptions if so desired.  >> back to top

Recreation Fields

Head north across Ericson Road to find the recreation fields. Five Soccer/Football Fields are located here along with two baseball/softball fields. A small parking lot is available but on game days, overflow parking is available in the flamingo lot.

Field sizes are as follows:

  1. 100-yard x 40-yard multi-purpose field
  2. 90-yard x 50-yard Soccer field
  3. 60-Yard x 35-Yard Soccer Field
  4. Full-Size Football field
  5. 55-yard x 35-yard Youth Soccer Field  >> back to top

Gym

The Gym consists of two full-size, vinyl-tile basketball courts with a drop-down center divider. Regulation goals, scoreboards, and other recreational equipment are available. The gym is home for various sports and fitness classes. >> back to top

Youth Area

Hope Student Ministries (HSM) has its own place to call home. The Loft (enter at Entrance 6 and head up the stairs) and The Big Room (enter at entrance 6 and hang a right) are the places to be for Students grades 6-12 each Wednesday night and Sunday morning. If you come with an empty stomach, fear not. The Hut is open on a regular basis with snacks and drinks. >> back to top

The Grove Recording Studios

Green Rooms

With the many concerts and special events hosted here at Hope, we lay out the red carpet, well in this case the green one. A green room is available between The Grove Recording Studios and the South Hall. Another set of green rooms is available backstage from the Sanctuary.

All the rooms feature comfortable seating, televisions, restrooms, and the privacy our guests need while blessing us with their talents.  >> back to top

Kitchen

With people comes FOOD. Hope is blessed to have a full-service kitchen with a full staff ready and willing to take on any culinary challenge.

The amazing flavors can be found pouring into Dinner on Demand, Wednesdays at Hope Dinners, Men's Breakfast, Soup Sales, and the best cookies you can find in Cordova.  >> back to top

Wedding Chapel

Interested in holding your big day on Hope's campus? With so many requests we have limited our chapel use to those with an active relationship with Hope - either being a member or a regular attender with the intention of membership. We ask that you go through the Introducing Hope Series.

Those wishing to inquire about having a wedding at Hope should contact the Events Office by email (weddings@hopechurchmemphis.com) or call 901-755-7721 (ext. 1928). The Wedding Coordinator will provide a Wedding Booklet with further information, forms, and the fee schedule.

Hope for Kids Building

When it comes to the kiddos, there is no better place than the Hope for Kids Building. During the weekend, the first floor is home to newborns through kindergarten in areas we call Toddler Town and Kid City. First, through fifth grade find fun upstairs in the areas we call Element 123 and Element 45. During the school year, our Weekday Preschool utilizes the first floor for infants to five years old. Our main desk for Hope for Kids is located on the first floor near the elevator. This is located inside Entrance 3 down the hallway at the connecting area for the sanctuary foyer, hallway, and Hope for Kids stairs.    >> back to top

Playgrounds

Let your imagination run wild in three playground areas within Hope for Kids. If the weather is nice, step outside to enjoy the safe and secure playground area. If rain dampens the fun, no worries because Hope for Kids has two indoor playgrounds with plenty of tubes and slides for our children up to fifth grade near Entrance 4.    >> back to top

Classrooms

It is our goal to educate and inspire our visitors and members so be filled with classes regularly occurring in two spots within the church.  The first is upstairs from Entrance 1 and to the right.  Rooms 220-230 are home to various classes where you can grow.  The second group of classrooms, Rooms 300-303, is located directly across from the Gym. Volunteers and Prayer Warriors meet here regularly along with Introducing Hope classes.   >> back to top

Staff Offices

Where the weekday work gets done. Hope has an incredibly dedicated and talented staff. If you have a need that needs to be met or an idea that you have to share, visit the receptionist desk for assistance (enter Entrance 1, take a right all the way down the hall and up the ramp).   >> back to top

Collins Lake Property

Few realize the land located west of the parking lot consists of the 22-acre Collin's lake property. Two-thirds of the land area is covered by a lake.  The rest consists of open land adjacent to Bert Ferguson Park and two homes. This property is used for youth retreats and similar functions.   >> back to top
