Start. Grow. Lead.

Four-week classes designed for YOU!
start. grow. lead. classes resume in August 2021.

Do you feel like it has been a while since you have really “grown” in your faith? Whether you need a refresher of the basics, want to be challenged by deeper theology, or are ready to use your gifts in a leadership role, START GROW LEAD has a class for you.

As a believer in Jesus (a member of the Body of Christ), you are EXACTLY what your family needs and what our church needs. You are here for a purpose, and though your faith life might feel stagnant, God wants to use you “abundantly (John 10:10b)”.

all journeys begin somewhere.

Christianity—thousands of years of history, billions of followers around the world—where do I even begin?! START is a series of classes all about the basics! Whether you are brand new to Christianity or just need a refresher, these classes are for you. We will study the Bible and “Start Here” by David Dwight and Nicole Unice to fine-tune our understanding of the basics of Christianity.

  • START: First Things First • (1) Who are you? (2) Who is God? (3) What’s the plan, and who’s with me? (4) What are the obstacles, who’s against me, and how do I fight?
  • START: What's Next? • (1) The Whole Bible in One Hour, (2) Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, (3) Faith and Works, (4) The Future and What’s Next?

START: Introducing Hope (New Members Class) • Introducing Hope is all about presenting you with Hope’s mission and vision. During this four week class, you will learn how to grow deeper in your faith and become better connected at Hope! Participation doesn't require a commitment to join the church, however, if you are considering membership, Introducing Hope is your next step.

  • GROW: The Bible • Of course, you love Jesus—but do you know the whole story? Join us for a fast paced four-week walk through of the whole Bible. The class book is Max Anders' 30 Days to Understanding the Bible.
  • GROW: All Things Spiritual • What is with all of this spirit and soul stuff? Ephesians 6:12, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." The class book is C.S. Lewis' Screwtape Letters.
  • GROW: Church History • The Christian Church has been evolving for almost 2,000 years. This class will cover major events and eras and, names and places that molded the Christian Church into what it is today. The class book is Bruce Shelley's Church History in Plain Language.

guide others along their journey.

Everyone leads, but not everyone leads well. LEAD classes exist to train current and future leaders of Hope through Jesus’ example of sacrificial servant leadership.

  • LEAD: Servant Leadership • Jesus told us (almost) everything we need to know about leadership when He said, “I am among you as the one who serves (Luke 22:27).” As Christians, we cannot truly lead until we understand how to give of ourselves for the sake of others.

Everyone leads but not everyone leads well!
