SPORTS Coordinator

The coordinator position is an essential part of Hope Church Memphis with the overall responsibility of assisting with all Sports Academy programming (practices and games), Recreation Ministry activities, and Hope Church Memphis events for children and adults. This is a non-exempt, hourly, full-time position (40 hours per week).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • • Team Apparel and Uniform Fulfillment Accuracy
  • • Weekly Field and Gym Upkeep and Gameday Prep
  • • Player and Coach Development (soccer, flag, basketball, golf, and t-ball)
  • • Mid-week Communications to Directors and Coaches visiting Hope to play games
  • • Site Manager responsible for Gameday operations on the Hope Campus
  • • Data Entry and Individual Registrations • Computer Literacy (Outlook, MS Word & Excel)
  • • Develop ability to use Arena (customer database management system)

Other duties and resPonsibilities

  • • Flexible in-season schedule for nights and weekend activities
  • • Social Media Experience (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram)
  • • Operate John Deere machinery (zero-turn mower and Gator)
  • • Ability to pick-up 50 lb.
  • • Field and Gym Experience: taping gym floor, lining and painting fields, and cleaning

Skills & Experience Requirements

  • • 3-5 years full-time experience
  • • Sports Management or Business Marketing
  • • Coaching, Teaching, and Ministering
  • • Focus on Children and Youth Ministry in the form of Teams and Small Groups

Education Requirements

  • • Business
  • • Sports Management and Marketing
  • • Kinesiology
  • • Health Education
