Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is one-to-one Christian care for those going through a crisis or life challenge.

Stephen Ministers are members of the congregation that have gone through special training to provide emotional and spiritual support to individuals in our faith community. We all need help sometimes especially when walking through hardships such as grief, divorce, depression, loneliness or an illness. With Christ-centered care, Stephen Ministers help bear the burdens of those facing life’s difficulties and overwhelming uncertainties.

Need to talk to a Stephen Minister?

You don’t have to face your tough times alone. Hope’s Stephen Ministry has volunteers that have been trained to listen intently when someone is hurting and offer comfort, support and prayer through seasons of change, uncertainty or confusion.

Galatians 6:2 tells us that we should bear one another’s burdens. This is the purpose of Stephen Ministry. We provide nonjudgmental, confidential, one-on-one, Christ-centered care. If you are in the midst of a tough season of life and need this type of support, let us help you out. We are meant to walk through these times together.

How do I become a Stephen Minister?

Have you seen the Lord work in your own life through difficult times? Do you feel the Lord could use you to support others in the midst of their season of uncertainty? Now is the time to learn how you can be an important part of this life-changing ministry. If you are interested in serving as a Stephen Minister through this Christian caregiving ministry at Hope, email Jeff Roach or call 901-755-7721.

Need to talk to a stephen minister?

Our life journey can sometimes be a difficult, uphill climb. At times we find ourselves in a season of change, uncertainty or confusion which can make the climb very steep. If we discover that we are isolated and climbing by ourselves, the climb will be even more difficult.

You don’t have to face your tough times alone. Hope’s Stephen Ministry has trained volunteers that walk one-on-one with individuals who find themselves in a season of difficulty. These volunteers, Stephen Ministers, are available to listen and pray with you.

Galatians 6:2 tells us that we should bear one another’s burdens. This is the purpose of Stephen Ministry. We provide nonjudgmental, confidential, one-on-one, Christ-centered care. If you are in the midst of a tough season of life and need this type of support, let us help you out.
