Winter Group Studies:

Sermon on the Mount, by Jen Wilkin
Offered Monday evening Only with video teaching and small group discussion.

In His sweeping depiction of kingdom citizenship, Jesus utters some of the most familiar passages in all of Scripture.  Most of us have only encountered the Sermon on the Mount in fragments, considering its subdivisions as complete teachings in their own right – a study on blessedness; a reflection on the Lord’s Prayer; a discussion of religious devotion, money, ambition, and relationships.  But what if we navigated these three chapters in Matthew as they were originally heard: as one cohesive, well-ordered message, intended to challenge us to think differently about what it means to be a follower of Jesus, a citizen of the kingdom of heaven? This nine-session study will give you the opportunity to do just that.  Come and learn from Jesus, just as His disciples did.

(Book will not be sold onsite)

The Miracle Moment, Nicole Unice
Offered both Monday evening and Wednesday morning, with video teaching and small group discussion.

Any hard conversation contains a potential “miracle moment.” It’s not the moment you react to being hurt, misunderstood, or treated unfairly.  It’s the moment after the initial reaction, when you change course and respond differently. A moment when you choose to do the risky work of moving toward the other person in your response instead of putting up barriers designed to keep you apart. In this six-session study Nicole Unice walks us through the biblical principles of navigating difficult relationships.  You’ll discover how Jesus uses our lives as His classroom of learning – and what He teaches us about healthy relationships.

(Book will not be sold onsite)

You Were Made for this Moment, by Max Lucado
Offered Monday evening Only (in-person and Zoom options)

Your life is a crafted narrative written by the author of life who is working toward your supreme good and a sublime ending. With fresh biblical insight, Max Lucado unpacks the book of Esther’s promise and invitation: Relief will come.  Will you be a part of it? In this study you will learn to reclaim your eternal identity as a citizen of heaven, put your hope in the God of grand reversals, cultivate courage for your challenging times and discover your role in God’s story. If you feel worn out and ill-equipped to weather your storm, find comfort that today’s crisis and confusion will be tomorrow’s conquest.  God’s way will triumph.  Are you ready to play a part in the victory?
