Young Adult Coordinator

(Part Time Hourly Position, 15 hours per week)

The Young Adult Coordinator will work alongside the Young Adult Director to create an environment that allows for Christ to capture the hearts and minds of Young Adults in Memphis. This coordinator is responsible for supporting the mission of Hope Church by building an inclusive community for un-churched Young Adults.   

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly Sunday Morning Young Adults (YA) Connect Class
  • Lead male specific Discipleship, Small, and Bible study group(s)
  • Build 1:1 relationships with male members in the Young Adult ministry
  • Plan and attend monthly outreach events (Millennial Meet-ups, VIBE Nights)
  • Serve as a member of the Young Adult Leadership Team
  • Serve as the leader in the absence of the Young Adult Director
  • Meet weekly with Young Adult Director

Other duties and resPonsibilities

  • As needed, plan and attend Young Adult smaller scale social events
  • Teach/facilitate some Sunday morning YA Connect Classes
  • Other Duties as assigned

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma

Skills & Experience

  • Leading small groups for young adults
  • Teaching in small settings
  • Familiarity with millennials in Memphis
