Young Adult Director

A key leader in Hope Church’s Young Adult community with responsibility for the programming and production of weekly/monthly ministry. Additionally, this person will effectively plan, organize, and direct all events (ministry, worship, social, connecting, and service). This includes marketing and communications across the community and church to promote awareness and participation in the life of the young adult community within and a part of Hope Church. This is an exempt, full time, salaried position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attract, lead, and inspire Young Adults as a community to come and participate in the joyous adventure of following Christ.
  • Program/produce excellent weekly/monthly ministry events including overseeing and scheduling volunteers.
  • Plan, organize, and direct all events (ministry, worship, social, connecting, and service).
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement connecting/assimilation opportunities for young adults within the life of Hope Church. 
  • Implement marketing (communications, advertising/branding, and especially Social Media) that inspires and conveys the vision, plans, and opportunities to attract and grow the young adult community at Hope.   
  • Build and lead a volunteer/leadership team.
  • Responsible for the annual Young Adult ministry budget proposal and administration of budget.
  • Form and facilitate small groups.
  • Nights & Weekends required.

Other duties and resPonsibilities

  • Participate in Church-Wide events.
  • Weekend assignments if necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned that help Hope to execute our mission.

Education Requirements

  • College degree required

Skills & Experience

  • 1 - 3 years of ministry experience
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in small group and/or discipleship leadership
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in a managerial or leadership capacity
  • Spiritual maturity in Christ and a growing walk with God
  • Energetic leader and encourager
  • Excellent project planning, management and administration skills
  • Strong implementation skills
  • Excellent team building skills
  • Strong relational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Passionate about discipleship ministry and seeing people’s lives transformed by Christ
  • Comfortable in community outreach and an unchurched culture
  • Computer literate and solid user of Office suite of products
